Activewear and 12 Months to a Healthier Me!
I've never been one to work out much. My sister on the other hand does this for a living! When I was visiting my roommates in North Carolina last week, we spent most of our time walking and talking; so I figured if I can't commit to working out I can commit to walking! We live very close to Harrison Bay State Park, so there is no excuse (other than the rain) to not go out there and enjoy the nature. Besides, I have to put my activewear to good use! I bought this pair of tennis shoes from Target a few years back, and they still look new, because frankly they are. I haven't used them but a handful of times because I hate working out. Every time I climb on a treadmill I feel like a hamster, and the rest of the time I am just in too much pain to think anything else other than, "Why the heck am I wasting my time?"
At the beginning of the year,, I committed to positive thinking! No more negativity! Now I must commit to walking because exercise is good for my health. In my post "Maxi Cardigans and Sleeveless Dresses" I spoke about my weight gain. What I failed to say is that the majority of that weight was gained during my grad school time. I was stressed and tired and pizza was always there to make me feel better. Now I have to face the fact that walking up the stairs is not the easiest of tasks, and physical theater is not a daily part of my life anymore, so I have to make the extra effort to get back in shape.
So here it is my friends: A commitment between me and you on this post to spend the year walking the weight off, to be healthy, to have more endurance and strength and hopefully a smaller tummy because healthy is beautiful!
If you want to join me, comment bellow! Accountability buddies are the best! What are you doing to be healthy this year?
